Filtracarb® IPK is a powdered activated carbon (PAC) manufactured from specially selected grades of coal at a production facility in Germany.

The material is manufactured under stringently controlled conditions by steam activation, to produce a porous adsorbent with a highly developed internal surface area, which is impregnated with sulfuric acid (H2SO4).
